Update on Lionel Messi's Injury: When Will the Inter Miami Forward Return?

By:Rimmy

Lionel Messi, the Argentine legend who won the FIFA World Cup, has already missed the last three games for Inter Miami. He recently missed the Saturday home game against New York City.

On Messi's recent absence, there is no clear official report from the club. Messi's status after the New York City game was disclosed by the club's head coach despite media reports of his leg injury.

Messi's participation in the upcoming away MLS match against Chicago Fire FC has been questioned. Head coach Gerardo Martino has confirmed that they are monitoring his condition game by game.

We're going to watch this game by game, Martino remarked. In advance of Wednesday's game against Chicago, we'll assess him.

Messi has missed four of the five games since getting back from international service, including the 2-1 US Open Cup Final loss to Houston Dynamo.

After his most recent Argentina service, Messi only played for 37 minutes in Miami before being replaced. Later, the coach said that he was removed due to an old injury issue.

After their most recent game, Martino continued, "He's (Messi) training on the field apart from the group, but he's feeling better and better." This was in reference to Messi's current state of fitness.

Even though Inter Miami had a terrible start and Messi's arrival gave them one last chance to qualify for the MLS playoffs, the team isn't rushing to make him captain even now that things are becoming serious.
